Silo Specifications:
- Capacity: Each silo consists of 20 bins with a capacity of 1,500 tons each, totaling 30,000 tons per silo.
- Soil Type: The soil in Shatra region includes clay and silt.
- Foundation: Precast piles suitable for the soil type, supporting each bin's load individually.
Construction Details:
- Columns and Beams: Each silo has 12 rectangular columns supported by a reinforced concrete ring beam on piles. An upper rectangular reinforced concrete beam supports a concrete conical hopper (10.35 m diameter).
- Arrangement: Bins are arranged in two rows of 10 each, divided by a six-story workhouse steel structure, central to silo operations.
- Workhouse Building: Facilitates loading and unloading processes.
Additional Facilities:
- Loading Area: Includes four additional loading bins with telescopic spouts for trucks and trains.
- Aspiration System: For dust removal, with dust and impurities bins.
- Safety Features: Emergency side discharge pipes and access doors.
- Access: Passages and stairs for easy maintenance.
Cleaning and Conveyance:
- Grain Cleaners: Two machines to remove unwanted materials (dust, hay, stones, etc.).
- Conveyance: Chain conveyors and bucket elevators in the workhouse for vertical grain movement.
Power and Control:
- Power Station: Includes necessary boards and electric transformers.
- PLC Control System: Industrial computer and monitors for operations management (receiving, loading, cleaning, circulating).
Unloading:
- Truck Damper: Two available for unloading.
- Loading Bins Placement: Adjacent to the workhouse building.
